How to Use your French Press

BREW GUIDE

Step 1: Heat Your Water

Begin by heating water to just below boiling—around 95°C. This ensures optimal extraction without scalding the coffee grounds.

Step 2: Measure Your Coffee

Using the Coffee Spoon included with your French press, add coarsely ground coffee based on your desired serving size:
350 ml: 2-3 scoops (15-22g)
600 ml: 4-5 scoops (30-38g)
1000 ml: 6-7 scoops (45-52g)

Step 3: Bloom for Better Flavour

Before adding all the water, pour a small amount over the coffee grounds, stir gently, and let it sit for 45 seconds. This process, known as “blooming,” helps release trapped gases, enhancing the coffee’s flavor and reducing bitterness. Use the following water measurements for blooming:
📏 350ml Size → 290ml water
📏 600ml Size → 580ml water
📏 1000ml Size → 870ml water

Step 4: Brew, Press & Enjoy!

Let your coffee steep for 3-4 minutes before slowly pressing down the plunger. This filters the coffee, leaving you with a perfectly brewed cup. Pour and enjoy the rich, aromatic flavours of your handcrafted French press coffee!
